DaveNet sound bites from 1997 on Apple, Java, Life, Microsoft, Push, Software. Tell your friends! A reader asks, what's Kool Aid? (There's a quote about 'Drinking the Kool Aid' on the Microsoft quotes page.) It's the cheap soft drink that members of the People's Temple liked so much. The first time I heard this expression in the software industry was from people I knew at General Magic. It goes like this: I Drank the Kool Aid. Kind of like Going Down With The Ship. Hopefully you get the idea. MacWEEK: Integrating Mac-based sites with NT servers. CNN reminds us that it pays to be paranoid. Or the opposite! News.com: Crushed by Microsoft. Uh oh! Wired News: A game designer's co-op. This is a great idea!
