screen2.io debate party -- 9PM!
by Dave Winer Tuesday, October 4, 2016

Tonight at 9PM Eastern we're going to have our second screen2.io debate watch party, and you're invited!

The video will be a livestream provided by NBC News and YouTube.

There's a place to post your comments and questions that all the other people in our group will see.

Lots of new features in response to feature requests from the last debate experiment.

Echoing to Twitter is something you can turn on and off without visiting the Settings dialog. There's a checkbox above the edit area, just check it to echo to Twitter, uncheck it and only people on Screen2.io will see it.

URLs that you enter into the text box are automatically hotlinked.

Emoji short-codes are recognized.

As before there's no 140-char limit and text can be styled. Multiple paragraphs.

There's a setting that automatically appends a hashtag of your choice to each tweet as it goes out, if echoing is turned on.

Lots of little tweaks and fixes far too numerous to mention here.

Also if the debate is boring I might add a few features while we watch. I've been known to do that before.
