Frontier 5.0a4 Release Notes

Mousing in outlines and tables.

No more vertical gaps between headlines, where clicks would exit edit mode.

Clicking to the right of headline text doesn't exit edit mode. Clicking to the left of the icon in a table doesn't enter text mode.

The cursor is shaped correctly in table cells. Cursor shape and actual mouse action is consistent in tables and outlines.

Added more slop to the left and right of headline text to make selection easier, like 4.x.

File-based objects.

Each object type has it's own icon. (Thanks to Thea Partridge for her help.)

Added clickers for each of the new types. They all call Frontier.clickers.typeFATP.

Frontier can handle up to 20 items in the clickers table when looking for openable types to include in a file open dialog.

Cards on 68K Macs.

Pressing Return or Enter to dismiss a card no longer hangs the machine.

Pasting text into outlines.

Fixed hanging bug.

Improved logic for handling blank lines. Outline structure is much more faithful to double-spaced source text.

CR/LF text is handled properly.

Pasting duplicates in tables.

When you copy a table item and then paste a duplicate, the new item's "#1" name is selected for editing.

Internal Errors.

Found where an internal error would be reported without an error. Fixed it.

NetFrontier update.
