Sounds like the conservative Apple exec (Amelio/Hancock) chose to compete with NT rather than Nintendo 64 and the Be OS. It may seem like a practical decision in terms of selling to business (and Steve is a great salesman), but not a likely avenue to success. Be OS at least represents a future not based on 25 year old foundation technology, and a future that is tied to the multimedia future.
