Dave, As always, I have enjoyed the most recent DaveNet. You may recall that sent you an opinion that the Internet is not a medium, but a standards based applications platform. IMHO, the next generation of applications that will sell personal computers will not come from Microsoft, or even Userland. But they will be built on the platforms, or using the tools, that these companies deliver. I think the next generation of killer applications are called anything.com, anything.gov, andything.net, anything.org, and anything.edu. There are hundreds being cranked out each day. They don't compete for shelf space, only mind space. They enrich the customer experience, while lowering the cost of doing business (which enriches our clients and their investors) just as automatic tellers have done for banking. And, surprise surprise, at Poppe Tyson, we have become a bonifide applications software development company (not just an agency) doing increasingly sophisticated Branding Applications for companies like Cadillac, EdwardJones, T. Rowe Price, Chase/Chemical Bank, E-Trade, Gateway, Merrill Lynch, IBM, The State of Pennsylvania, and the San Jose Visitors and Convention Bureau, to name a few. In fact, we count ourselves well among the leaders in this vital new kind of applications development -- marketing and sales applications. And that is my thought for the day. Keep up the great work.
