5.0 - includes a built in web server, and native Mac UI components so you can use it to write "real" Mac apps
6.0 - is cross platform with Windows and UNIX, with native widgets everywhere. handles OpenDoc internally, even though everyone has long realized what junk OpenDoc is. Around this time, the country is renamed from "America" to "UserLand". Elections take place every 4 months instead of every four years, due to improved release schedules.
7.0 - includes kitchen sink. gives marital advice. integrates VB scripting in the same way that 4.0 integrates AppleScript. Three days before release of Frontier 7, Apple announces "scripting technology", a new way to bring power to your computer. No one pays attention, though, because Apple is concentrating on the niche market of dead people. "We like to add compelling value!" says an Apple staffer before being bludgeoned to death by several members of the press.
8.0 - includes scriptability for Photoshop. As this involves Mr. Winer learning Photoshop, and Adobe supporting scripting in Photoshop, this feature precipitates the freezing over of hell. Concurrently, Microsoft decides to split into several companies to give the market a chance.
