MICROSOFT IN THE MAC MARKET

Hi Dave, I know you don't have a lot of time, but I just wanted to make a comment about your Microsoft in the Mac Market article. You mention in there that Netscape will make everything on Windows available on the Mac, "but later", but you don't say anything about Internet Explorer's timeliness with Mac releases. If you were going to bring this up at all, it would have been nice to mention that Internet Explorer is just about as bad (if not worse) when it comes to releasing stuff for the Mac. At least with Netscape, the betas come out at the same time. It'd take a lot more than what I've seen so far from Microsoft for me ever to be convinced that the Mac market is more than an afterthought for them. (Remember Word 6? And what about Microsoft Front Page?) I'm not saying Netscape's great- I have a lot of problems with both Netscape and Microsoft. But it's a bad idea to mention slowness of release for just Netscape in an article comparing the two.
As for my use of Netscape- believe it or not- Netscape is more stable than Internet Explorer on my Mac. It's still fairly unstable though, so I tend to stick to my new favorite, Cyberdog. Have you tried it? Sure, it doesn't support frames and a couple other fancy features, but its better for what I use the web for- content. For a 1.0 release, they've done a pretty good job, and I can't wait to see 1.1.
