Reading Random DaveNets

I'm still thinking about doing a DaveNet book. I wrote about this in Three Years of DaveNet, 10/7/97.

There are so many pieces, and I usually only point back to a handful of them. I don't remember all the things I've written about. I've had some surprises as I tried to randomly walk thru the old pieces.

I decided to build a tool to help, a new CGI application, that displays a list of ten random DaveNets.

Here's a call to that CGI. Hit reload as many times as you want to see a new random collection of pieces. See an interesting title? Click on the URL to read the piece.

The CGI application

The Frontier source code and data for the CGI application are baked into this page. Do the fat pages thing. It's easily adapted to other collections of stories.

Important: This application requires Frontier 5, it will not import into 4.x.
