Linking to Amazon.com

Here's a coool macro that makes it easy to link a Frontier website to Amazon.com.

Dave Polaschek, davep@best.com, wrote the script, I borrowed it from his fat pages farm and made a couple of very small improvements.

Example

Here's a link to Microserfs by Douglas Coupland and here's the macro that generated it:

{amazonISBN ("0060987049", "Microserfs")}

  1. There's a new optional parameter, linetext, that allows you to specify the text that appears in the anchor tag that's generated.

  2. The URL in the anchor is now enclosed in "double quotes".

  3. I changed the name of the first paramter to bookISBN. I found it confusing, when I first looked at the script, I wasn't sure what info was being called for.

  4. I changed the name of the macro so it wouldn't overwrite Dave's macro.

Little conveniences like this make website work more fun.

Many thanks to Dave P!
