The opening segment on the latest This American Life is a real eye-opener. Mostly because I see my own online behavior modeled in the way a group of teenage girls use Instagram.

As a result I'm thinking differently about how I use Twitter and Facebook, and am more clear on what I want from each of my villages, the online tribes I belong to.
