Facebook asked me to agree or disagree with the statement "Facebook cares about its users."

I disagreed.

This is a constant marketing message from them. Hi Dave, we care about you. They say that every day in the Memories feature. They say it at Christmas and New Years. They'll probably say it on my birthday.

It's an algorithm. It doesn't have feelings. It's not capable of caring. The fact that they let an algorithm ask the question shows they don't care.

They have one employee for every million users or something like that. How much care could be built into that ratio?

They are like everyone else, they care about themselves.

The company cares about return on investment.

I consider this idea right up there with "Comcast cares."
