Did you use an Apple II and think it was an incredible thing to have a computer in your living room that was all yours all the time?

I was one of those people.

Now watch this video, of today's kids, raised on iPhones and whatever else they get to use, trying out that Apple II.

I found it was very bittersweet. They even understood, esp the older ones, how much of a miracle this was back in the day. But ultimately they were not impressed. And, viewing it through their eyes, neither was I.

All that struggling and hard work to get it to do a little more and then a little more, it's all packaged up in the iPhone, invisible to future generations.
