Change notes 9/10/09 Permalink to this headline.

1. Feeds that didn't have guids for each item used to be unreadable by River2. Now we synthesize guids. Example -- the comment RSS produced by Disqus.

2. On the Feeds page, the feeds are now sorted in alphabetic order of the feed name, not the feed URL. (Surprised no one has complained about this, I find it very confusing.)

3. New prefs that determine whether Podcasts or Photos are displayed on the home page. Each of them have their own pages, and if there are a lot of either they can clutter up your home page.

4. Bug: The URL for the prefs page is hard-coded for 127.0.0.1 which doesn't work if you're accessing River2 over the net (i.e. the server isn't running on your machine).

5. On the Feeds page, there is now confirmation that a subscribe was successful. This required a change to the CSS, the addition of a statusMessage class.

If you haven't modified your CSS, delete the file river.css in the River2 sub-folder of the OPML folder and it will be replaced automatically. If you have modified the CSS, add a statusMessage class that's like the errorMessage class, but with a different style that indicates success (e.g. it might be green instead of red).

How to update Permalink to this headline.

The updates will happen automatically the next time River2 scans.

You can always get the latest version by re-installing the tool, through the Misc/Tools Catalog command in the OPML Editor app.
