Installing the OPML Editor on Windows XP SP3 as a 'Fresh Install' 

(Old Errors moved to Windows-XP-OPML-Editor-Install-Error-Archive.html )

Extract OPML.Zip to C:\Program Files\OPML

Double Click C:\Program Files\OPML.exe

OPML Shortcut created on Desktop

Update and Check opml.root, config.root, discuss.root & members.root with 'Update Front Tool' successful, Restart OPML Editor

'Misc' -> 'Preferences' - All preference settings appear to work as per design.

'Bookmarks Menu' - Successful

Default Amazon S3 Folder created at C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Desktop\Amazon S3

'Custom Menu' - Successful (Hello World & Count to 10 Scripts work fine)

'Misc' -> 'Tool Catalog' -> IE7 opens http://127.0.1"5337/opmlEditor/catalog

howto.root - No Known Issues

Install -> OPML Editor window comes to foreground with prompt 'Install howto.root?' -> 'OK'

"The howto.root tool has been installed" dialog box appears. -> 'OK'

'Howto' menu now on Tools Menu

'Howto' Tools Menu 'Open Document, Upload Image,List of my Howtos, Indent.ca prefs & Support' menu items

photoFan.root

Install -> OPML Editor window comes to foreground with prompt 'Install photoFan.root?' -> 'OK'

"The photoFan .root tool has been installed' is dialog box appears. -> 'OK'

ISSUE-XP-007:- Default photoFan picture folder "C:\Program Files\OPML\Pictures\screenSaverPics"

No photoFan prefs page to set this option.

Default photoFan archive folder (/prefs?page=1.4) "C:\Program Files\OPML\Pictures\screenSaverArchive"

ISSUE-XP-006:- Default photoFan 'Drop Folder (/prefs?page=3.1) "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\Flickr"

(Again not that important though similar behaviour to the Amazon S3 folder "C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Desktop\Flickr" would be expected.)

podcatcher.root - No Known Issues

Install -> OPML Editor window comes to foreground with prompt 'Install podcatcher.root?' -> 'OK'

Default podcatcher folder (/prefs?page=1.2) created at "C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Desktop\Podcatcher"

Subscribing/Un-Subscribing Podcasts and downloading enclosures works per design.
