Node.js and Cloud9 |

I spent some time today working with node.js and its close IDE buddy, Cloud9. There's a bit of an installation hill to climb. But once you are over it, Cloud9 is a breeze to use and makes node.js a very usable server-side scripting environment. The downside is that node.js has a sprawling set of library functions that take some time to digest. Coupled with the event-driven model of execution, it means there's a little work to do to convert existing procedural code into "node code". |
