Restaurant Websites Suck Permanent link to this item in the archive.

This week I've been trolling NYC's restaurant websites in search of a place to hold my wedding "reception."

The most frustrating part of the experience was having to wait for all the Flash to load, and turning off all the auto-play music.

The second most frutrating thing was having to dig around for the information I wanted. In most cases, I had to email the retaurant. The responses all had PDFs of private party packages attached...so if they have this information on hand, why isn't on the website?!

This is what a restaurant website should tell me:

I finally found a place yesterday that will work within my budget and also has a pretty decent website. Husband-elect and I went to sample fare (they make a fantastic whiskey sour, which has beomce my drink of choice lately) and talk to the owner, who is a totally cool guy. We have a winner!
