Palm Pre a possibility?

That is, can it play the role of the Cradlepoint router I just got, and the Sprint EVDO modem plugged into it? Permalink to this paragraph

Are they going to be as locked down as Apple is with the iPhone? Permalink to this paragraph

This morning I couldn't imagine why anyone would even go to a Palm press conference, and now I'm on the edge of wanting one of these to try. I'm ready to get off my iPhone, I'm sick of the locked up mentality. If this thing pairs nicely with a netbook, I might just switch to it for a year or so. Permalink to this paragraph

The next step in the evolving netbook is the cellphone that pairs with it. Whatever it is it must be reasonably debugged both in software and philosophy. Apple has the software but their philosophy is totally up a creek.  Permalink to this paragraph
