Lala's Spectacular New Music Service. For a couple of months now, I've been using a music service that's been in a quiet (but open) beta period. It's been kind of amazing. ASUS may ship two-screen Windows 7 notebooks in Q1. uTorrent's Mac Client Leaked. An early Alpha release of the long awaited Mac version of the popular BitTorrent client uTorrent has leaked to the public. ASUS Eee PC 901 falls to a cool $500. Following in Acer's footsteps, ASUS has evidently lowered the entry price for its Fine Ebony / Pearl White Eee PC 901 to $499.99. Dell Inspiron Mini 9 data carrier subsidy. Crave reports that we'll be seeing price subsidies on the new Dell netbook, similar to how cellphones costs are subsidized. Hell freezes over, new DirecTV HD TiVo on the way. New iPod Player Expected Next Week. Apple is expected to show off its new iPod music players -- and possibly announce price cuts -- on Tuesday but may not release a long-awaited update to its MacBook laptop computers until a later date. 9/2/2008; NYT.

Dell confirms Inspiron 910 netbook arriving this week. Dell's Inspiron 910 / Mini Inspiron hasn't exactly a a secret since we first heard about it back in April, but it sounds like this baby bump is about to go from open secret to bouncing bundle of joy -- Dell just confirmed to InformationWeek that the netbook is scheduled to arrive later this week. 9/2/2008; Engadget.

Google Adds YouTube-Like Service to Apps Suite. Google has added a video sharing component to its Apps Premier suite of hosted communication and collaboration software, betting that companies will find it useful for a variety of workplace uses. 9/2/2008; NYT.

ASUS' bamboo laptops ditch the Pandas, bring the WiMax as they go production. Google to Offer its Own Browser: Chrome. Google watchdog Phillip Lessen has scanned and posted a printed comic he says he received in the mail from Google today describing the company's forthcoming open source browser Chrome. The link to Chrome is currently a 404. MSI's 8.9-inch Wind U90 in the flesh, Linux version shipping for 339 Euro. Poukker rips off Twitter but has a far better promo video. The service itself is actually top notch. It's simple to navigate, easy to make and follow friends, and writing updates limited to the usual 140 characters is as straightforward as can be. As Twitter withdraws SMS, startups rush to fill the void. I would not be surprised to find all sorts of people starting to offer SMS services based on Twitterâs API, but I would certainly be careful who you entrust with your Twitter name and password. 8/14/2008; TechCrunch UK.

Logitech Pure-Fi Mobile. The Logitech Pure-Fi Mobile is a flexible and solid-sounding Bluetooth speaker. While its diminutive size precludes any true bass response, it sounds about as good as it can, given the design constraints. 8/14/2008; PC Mag.

Dell outs ultra-portable Latitudes for the suits: e4200 / e4300. Dell is offering a 9-cell battery plus a slice battery that, when combined, will net you 19 hours of run-time. Jobs: App Store is huge; iPhone has a kill switch. Apple CEO Steve Jobs says App Store users have downloaded more than 60 million software programs and confirmed that the iPhone has a kill switch so the company can nuke brand breaking software. 8/11/2008; ZDNet.

Geotagging in Flickr now faster, simpler. On Friday, photo host Flickr introduced a slight tweak to the way users are able to geotag their photos. Clicking on the "add to your map" option on the right side of any photo now pops up a mini Yahoo Map with an address finder.
