Dave Kuhlman's excellent survey of current distributed computing technologies, including XML-RPC. A postscript to yesterday's struggle with cookies and MSIE 4.01/Mac. I set up a test for the Microsoft people. It returns a cookie and does the redirect, and (get this!) MSIE 4.01/Mac handles it just fine. I had found another problem *after* (apparently) incorrectly concluding that the redirect was the problem, MSIE 4.01/Mac doesn't handle cookies with spaces in the name. That was easily fixed by not putting any spaces in the cookie name. So as Emily Litella used to say... Never Mind! (And my apologies.) We reached a big milestone today. By our measurements, Frontier 5.1.5b4 running on our 450Mhz NT4 machine could now serve the flow of www.scripting.com, with every hit being being a dynamically rendered page.
