Zipper merge
- You're in the left lane and see a Left Lane Closed Ahead sign. Do you 1. Immediately merge with the right lane or 2. Go all the way to the front, as far as you can go, and then merge. The latter approach is called a Zipper Merge, and the Minnesota DOT says it works better than the wait-your-turn method. But they don't explain why. Why?
