Update: Maybe we can try this some other time.
On July 13 I posted an idea for an RSS community get-together.
I want to put a group of 20 people in a meeting room, in New York in August, people who have a stake in the success of RSS.
A half-day meeting, followed by lunch, and then if people want, they can come back to the room to talk more, in a less formal way, or whatever they like.
There was some initial interest in the idea, but not enough to actually pull it off. That's why I'm writing a second post, to continue the discussion.
What I want from you, now: Nominations.
People who you think would make an important contribution to such an event.
I'll kick it off with my list.

Now that I've gone first, who did I leave out?
And remember, when this is done, it won't include everyone. I want ideas, quickly, to get a discussion going. It's the ideas that are important and motion that comes from it.
I want concrete ideas, esp ones that require cooperation between content producers and tech projects.
I want to start small with a few quickly achievable ideas.
This will not be a hackathon, but what follows, when we all go home, will be like one.
Groups that will be represented: Developers of content tools, sources of RSS, editorial orgs, aggregators, universities.
What comes out of it: ideas, of course, and a news flow about RSS.
