A consistent theme. Boy kills boy, and it's coool! That's what sells the print, creates flow on the site. Instead, how about Boy meets Girl, falls in love, makes great software, and everyone's happy?

Boys Get Silly 

OK if we can't always have Boy Meets Girl, how about more play among the boys? A perfect metaphor, on September 21, The Sand Hill Challenge, teams of venture capitalists in a soapbox derby down one of the most famous financial streets in the world! What a trip. I totally dig this.

I heard about the event at one of my favorite restaurants, Buck's in Woodside. It deserves official magnet status, right alongside Siam Garden and Il Fornaio. You can go there to get on the web of Silicon Valley intrigue. I'm hoping this piece meets me at Buck's someday... It'll be an interesting loop to close.

Anyway, I asked if any journalists were covering it. Oh yeas. The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, CBS News... You'll hear about it, but maybe you heard about it here first?
