Soothing sounds of disenfranchisement

Dimpled chads
As I work I leave NPR on in the background and listen to the soothing sounds of disenfranchisement, dimpled chads, ballots, Katherine Harris, recounts and The Will of the American People.
I like it the same way an embryo in the womb must like conversation. Is that my father? The embryo must wonder. My grandmother? What is the world like? Have they invented electricity yet?
