Top R&D Job at BorlandFrom Rick LeFaivre, email@example.com:
I've just finished my third month as CTO at Borland, and things are going quite well. Two straight quarters of revenue growth (after years of decline), a profitable Fiscal Q1 (after years of losses), a great senior management team under the leadership of Del Yocam, 2700 rabid developers at our annual conference (largest ever), and the introduction this month of JBuilder, the world's best Java development environment.
I'm rounding out my senior R&D leadership team, and have a key R&D Director position for which I'm starting a search. This person will head up a 60-person R&D team driving Borland's core Delphi and C++Builder interactive development environments.
The ideal candidate will be a great R&D manager, with a good understanding of object-oriented, component-based interactive development environments, and a passion for multi-tier enterprise computing.
If you are aware of anyone out there who might be a good match, please point him/her at me or vice-versa. It really is an exciting opportunity at an exciting time for Borland. Thanks.
