Yes and for the writers you read, to help them get more circulation. It's like a blogroll but much better. They are your sources. Help pay them back for the ideas and info they provide. And hope that other people return the favor to you. 

It's like in a book or record store, the staff says this is what we like, this is what we read and listen to. These are our sources.
