One way I keep the trolls at bay

The other day I found myself posting something to Facebook that I would never post on Twitter. The reason, because abusive responses would come immediately on Twitter, and to be honest, they hurt, so I leave Twitter out of the mix for these kinds of messages.

I know it's fucked up, because I know people through Twitter who aren't connected on Facebook who would likely get some comfort to know that other people see the same thing they do.

I wrote recently about a new level of spam, that shows up in real life too. Trollish behavior can only really happen where you're confined to a small space with no way to leave. Otherwise, just go. Maybe Facebook works a little better at roping off the abuse. Or maybe the trolls haven't found me there yet.

Since this is the topic du jour, and it's a good one, I thought I'd make a small contribution.
