A diff betw Twitter & Facebook

I've been using Radio3 for a couple of months now. For me the biggest new thing is that it can simultaneously post links to Twitter and Facebook. The posting of links to Facebook is new for me.

I always push a link to an original piece on Twitter a few times, because people might not be there when the link is first published. I see a lot of other people doing this too. But there's a difference with Facebook, because every time a post gets a like, a share or a comment, it goes back to the top of the queue for people who follow me. Because there are comments on posts, I don't want a second link on Facebook, because that splits the discussion, so I frequently rush over to Facebook and delete the duplicate. (Obviously this is a cow path that needs paving.)

This is a benefit of the much-disliked Algorithm of Facebook. It effectively re-runs posts for you automatically.

PS: With short posts like this, I prefer to put the whole text of the post on Facebook. Much more likely to be read, it seems.
