IBM Hostile Bid for Lotus

Lotus Development (LOTS-OTC) is up 28 1/5 to 60 1/4 at 2:33 Eastern, on news that IBM has launched an apparently hostile bid to acquire the company.

First Boston is advising Lotus.

IBM says the acquisition has nothing to do with OS/2.
