OLY-2008-CHN-US-CHEERLEADERS

A New England Patriot cheerleader leads the way for cheerleaders during a training session for Olympic cheer squads on July 4, 2008 in Jingdong, in northern China's Hebei province, on the eastern outskirts of Beijing. Chinese dance squads will perform at various events during the 8-24 August Olympics in Beijing, including basketball, beach volleyball and soccer. This week the girls are learning from the experienced cheerleaders of the New England Patriots of the US National Football League, some of who are in Beijing as part of an initiative with the host city's Olympic Games Organizing Committee, to host clinics for the young Chinese dancers.
