Twitter: Blocking is too crude

Yesterday Twitter changed the way the Block command works, only to change it back in a couple of hours after an outcry from people who liked it the way it was.

I welcomed the change, because it weakened the Block command, which was and now is again the only way to delete a tweet that you find offensive.

In 2011, I wrote: "Blocking has the side-effect of making me invisible to the person I'm blocking. This is totally unnecessary."

I would prefer if Twitter would give me the ability to remove specific tweets from my Replies tab. That's it. Why, after all these years, does Twitter not have this feature? I can't imagine it's that hard to implement? Maybe it is.

A couple of other ideas:

    1. I'd like the option of muting someone, and leave Block as it is.
    1. It would be nice to be able to mute someone for a day, week or month.
    1. Same with Block.
