reported.ly is part First Look, the news company startup by Pierre Omidyar. They announced today that they will not exist on the web, only on sites like Twitter, Facebook, Medium, Reddit. No feed, no http address.

It's worth putting down this marker, to see how this turns out. Will they add a feed? Will they eventually want their own web presence?

Where will the revenue will come from if the readers find them primarily (for now only) on sites that don't provide a way for users to sell ads.

Today the domain reported.ly redirects to a Medium page. A Google search turns up almost nothing related to the effort because the word "reportedly" means something, reportedly.
