Open Folders

You can define "open folders" that anyone may publish to via email -- password and username not required.

This is useful to for creating archives of mailing lists, for instance, or in the case of a publicly-accessible publishing system.

You may wish to customize how Content Server imports these files: see the Hooks and File Readers pages for more information on customization.

Defining your open folders

Choose Edit "Open Folders" List from the Publisher menu to open an outline where you can list your open folders.

Every folder is a path relative to the Content folder. Use colons to separate folders.

Your editing window will look something like this:

Pages published to an open folder are "serialized" -- that is, every page has a unique file name, with a serial number attached to the end.

This prevents one email from over-writing another.
