He pioneered the development of weblogs, syndication (RSS), podcasting, outlining, and web content management software; former contributing editor at Wired Magazine, research fellow at Harvard Law School, entrepreneur, and investor in web media companies. A native New Yorker, he received a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, a Bachelor's in Mathematics from Tulane University and currently lives in New York City.

Dave Winer's weblog, started in April 1997, bootstrapped the blogging revolution.

Back in the saddle again Permalink.

After two days off biking due to a Boston trip, I'm riding again.

Today's trip was quite a bit shorter than the last one. Not sure why, but my energy is a bit lower and my legs hurt more.

Rather than push too hard, I took a couple of breaks during this ride, and only got as far as 70th St. A total round trip of 7.9 miles. 55 minutes.

I turned around at the south end of Riverside Park, where there's this great long pier with views north and south.

As I passed 46th St, I took a picture of the bike with the USS Intrepid.
